The Threat in Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo has not been able to get its act together. The militant group M23, has been able to divide the nation, and cause a threat. The United Nations Organizations has warned of a regional war. The militant group, M23, should be controlled by effective measures in Congo. Most polities work on principle of cooperation and security. The government in Congo must be wary of the impending threat from the militant group.

The government must put in place effective security measures which shall safeguard the interests of the citizens. The government must institute security measures with appropriate concerns and with immediate effect. Militant groups and their aims must be well-defined and negotiated with. Security along with negotiations would go a long way in making the Democratic Republic of Congo a safe place. The warning from the UN must be taken with utmost seriousness. The government in Congo, should take apposite measures to safeguard the interests of their citizens.

Most nations that are safe have approached security with caution and self-regard. They have invested adequate resources in security and have been successful in protecting the lives of their citizens. The militants in Congo should be dealt with effectiveness that government’s actions demands. The government must instruct the security personnel to be adept at any new security challenges that might emanate from the militant group. The security measures must be upgraded and more resources, if needed must be spent on giving them the professional tools that are needed to protect their nation. The militant group must abrogate their demands of militancy, if they can, and choose the path of peace and livelihoods in the region. African nations have development aims and their aims should not be laid aside. The rising militancy in Congo should be taken with due sincerity of effort and all measures must be used to make the militants join the mainstream.

The militancy by M23 should not be considered futile, their demands must be understood and they must be explained the reasons of betterment. Most lives are used for productive work, militancy and its mayhem does not suit a decent society. Militancy shouldn’t prevail in the Democratic Republic of Congo and threat to life and property must be made minimal. The reasons for militancy should be explained to the government, and actions must be instituted in order to resolve the emanating social problems. The warning by the UN should be adhered to and all caution must be exercised to restrain militancy.
