More Opportunities in Africa
Africa should adhere to international development goals. Africa as a continent has been lagging when it comes to achieving international development goals. Most nations that develop reach a higher standard of living along with better educational and health care access for its populace. Most nations in Africa have been considered laggard in achieving international development goals. Economic development should be considered a policy priority by governments in Africa. Higher spending on education and health would go a long way in increasing labour-market participation for populace in African nations.
An educated populace is more suited to work in an economy, and work as productively as it must in order to make a nation richer, than the a populace that is ill-equipped when it comes to education. African nations must spend more on education, especially higher education. A populace that has access to higher education becomes more responsible and more adept at working for the welfare of a nation. An educated populace is more concerned about life and livelihoods of other citizens than the one that have not passed through strict standards of education. More expenditure on higher education would bring more opportunities in terms of higher economic growth, and more entrepreneurial initiatives within the populace.
Africa must spend more on higher education and give its citizens the opportunities that they must look forward to. Most nations that have developed thus far, have worked with seriousness of purpose when it comes to higher education. Higher education can be one of the markers of higher economic growth and in attaining development goals. More investments must be made in different sectors of education in African nations, thus its populace have access to better educational opportunities and livelihoods. Economic development relies on an educated populace; the same could be attributed to African nations. More investments, in all likelihood, will pave way for higher economic growth and therefore more jobs for the populace. At least it would make a nation richer and more cohesive.
A nation that has an educated work-force attracts more business investments than the ones that are lesser educated. Education, primarily higher education, should be taken up as a policy priority in African nations. More expenditure should be made in higher education and more citizens should have the opportunity and access to higher education than the prevalent. Higher education should be given a priority by African governments, and more investment must be made in the sector that can bring laurels to posterity and change a nation for better.
