Climate Action in Brazil

The world needs to act on climate change and other environmental problems. The recently concluded COP 30 in Brazil made sure that countries are made accountable for their action. Climate change should be considered a problem that must be dealt forthrightly with better adaptation and mitigation measures. Most countries that have been polluting the earth must consider the devastating consequences of their inaction. Climate change along with other environmental problems must be put on the global agenda and more finances should be allocated to make adaptation and mitigation measures a success in the long-run. COP 30 was a welcome step towards making our world an environmentally-friendly place to live in. The funds that have been allocated must be used efficiently and all finances that are allocated for environmental work should reach the intended beneficiaries. More finances mean more accountability. Thus must be the case with COP 30 and allied work that must go on with global meets as COP 30.

The funds must be used with efficiency and should lead to substantial changes on the ground. Improved health of the population and lesser pollution should be made the litmus for the environmental cause that most nations are vying for. COP 30 has been called an implementation COP, and therefore must lead to fuller action on the ground. Nations that are suffering the most must be provided with the technical knowhow, and adaptation and mitigation measures to deal with the problems of the environment. Mankind must learn to live with nature, and climate change must be dealt with immediacy of sincere intent. The delays in climate action must be avoided and all parties that are concerned should be given the credit for pushing the environmental agenda on the global scale. COP 30 must be used in order to provide sufficient funds and technical assistance to most vulnerable nations. Environmental actions must be rapid and efficient.
