A Worrying State of Affairs

Environment is in worrying state in India. Environment must be protected, and all caution must be exercised in order to make India, an environmentally-friendly nation. The government, along with the private sector must improve the state of environment, by allocation of more financial resources. Economy should be considered a priority, and its greening must go on simultaneously. India’s inefficiency cannot be condoned as environmental pollution becomes a nuisance to deal with. A good economy functions with a healthy status of environment. India must make a strategy to deal with the pollution problem, particularly air. Carbon emissions market can be one of the most important ways in managing and correcting the pollution problem. Emissions market can be designed sectorally, and an upper pollution limit can be designated. Emissions trading schemes can substantially decrease the threats that air pollution has in the Indian environmental settings.

India with its aims of economy, must allow environment to function, and use carbon emissions trading schemes and polluter pays principle to counteract the demand that pollution has had on the environment. Lack of decision-making and the state of apathy that the government often gets embroiled in must be avoided. Economy must grow at a swifter pace, and the environment must be considered an equally poignant factor that must be considered. Environment has been changing in the last few decades, and environmental threats must be efficiently managed in India. India must keep its promises at the COP 30 and other environment platforms. Being a developing economy, it must not allow inefficiency to ruin the efforts that most try to make on the ground. More financial resources must be allocated for the cause of environment, and sincere work must become a hallmark by which government’s efforts must be judged. Environment should not be ignored, and decrease of carbon emissions must be adhered to in accordance with international norms and conduct. India has been lagging on the environmental front and more financial resources and attention must be given to the cause of environment.
