Tethered to Venezuelan People

Venezuela must be placated. The new oil tanker blockade imposed on it by the US government has led to threats and warmongering in South America. Most nations that are close to the South American regime have asked for restraint and peaceful dialogue to resolve the political problem. On the other hand, Venezuela must be attuned to the needs of the economy, and allow economies to function optimally. The latest blockade of oil tankers by the US government has led to considerable political disadvantage. Politics in the region must be used for human welfare, and all resources that are tethered to a nation must be in accordance with its aims. The US government should initiate a dialogue with the Venezuelan government led by Nicolas Maduro, and consider the sensibility that they have. Venezuela after Hugo Chavez has been in trouble, and people’s welfare and basic rights must not be left aside. The aims of politics and economy must be used in order to enhance people’s conditions, and given the right conditions of economy the basic right of livelihood must be given to all.

Excessive militarism in the region should be avoided and politics of restraint must be used as a beckoning principle to resolve the mounting conflict. The US government must use its diplomacy to come to terms with the aggression that drug trafficking and other illicit trades emanating from the solitary South American nation brings to the American borders. The US must abide by international norms and use the safeguards of diplomacy in order to bring peace and economic development to the region. Wars and other threats of aggression are not the best tools that a government must adopt under the circumstances. Political problems must be calibrated politically, and not through military means. The politics of responsibility in South America would go a long way in bringing about the much needed change in the region. Venezuela requires economic development, employment and basic rights as access to healthcare and education. Threats and militarism should be made avoidable.
