The Withdrawal of Troops

The NATO has decided to withdraw its troops from Iraq mission. The NATO troops have been relocated to Europe. Their mandate was to advise Iraqi forces on capacity-building measures. The decision has been taken on the background of disturbance in the Middle-East due to war between Iran and the United States of America. NATO, in all its wisdom has taken the right decision and has safeguarded the lives of amicable military men. Most nations involved in Iraq are in confusion over the new war that has begun in the Middle-East. The Iranian regime is being challenged by Israel and the United States. The following weeks will have a foreboding of the worse that can happen in the region. The Gulf States have been attacked by Iran, a never to be imagined political scenario. The Gulf States should have been spared, and in all likelihood war should have justifiably taken place between the United States and Iran. But fortune had some other plan on her mind. The Gulf has been relentlessly attacked and Israel has been considerably aggressive. The United States must work for peace and use its resources, military and otherwise to cull the aggression in the region. Peace is a better proposition of living with diversity than hatred and killings of innocent citizens. Recently, NATO has been criticized by the Trump administration for being cowardly and ham-handed in not taking part in the military excursion in the Middle-East. The United States seems to forget it’s just a geopolitical tactic which has been used by the NATO. It’s America’s war and other allies need not be used or manipulated for future use.

The United States military should be sufficient to reach its strategic objectives along with military adeptness that Israel has. Other European nations needn’t be involved in a war that they don’t support in the first place. The United States must be astute enough to keep the war on its shoulders and not allow extraneous circumstances to make it lose its focus on regime change. The golden opportunity for Iranian people should not be foregone in building a broad coalition, and more political work needs to be done in choosing a right leadership, when needed. Iran hasn’t been defeated yet, and the United States should have its hands full in working under duress. The durability of military might cannot be underestimated, and lesser choice would be the best politics under the given circumstances. Trump administration should be wise enough to use its influence to make matters work for the Iranian people, rather than creating needless antagonism with its NATO allies. One or two states and their military should be sufficient to reach its strategic objectives. Peace must be made a reality in Iran and other neighbouring states. The United States would be well-suited to bid its time and bring about a change as required. The life under tyranny has been rejected by the Iranian people and their human rights must be protected under the given circumstances of life. NATO has taken the right decision, so must the United States.
