A Derived Victory
Vietnam’s Communist Party has won a landslide victory in the national elections. The National Assembly will be again run by the Communist Party of Vietnam. It received about 97 % of the total votes. The opposition were independent candidates who received about 3 % of the total vote-share. The Communist Party of Vietnam will control the National Assembly and the run the government. According to the head of the party, Vietnam needs a prestigious set of men who can run the country and make it economically prosperous. Vietnam has had a communist rule for the last few decades, and since last two decades it has been trying to open up its economy. The economic growth has been quite spectacular when compared to the regional output. The communists have been a successful lot in many Asian nations, and Vietnam with its 8 % economic growth rate can go the same way. It must focus on infrastructure capacity, education and healthcare for its citizens. Vietnam with its aim of higher economic growth should also work through international cooperation with other Asian powers. The South–East Asian nations have not be economic laggards, and have performed considerably well in the last ten years. Vietnam must improve its infrastructure capabilities and educational standards. It must also use its influence with China and other nations of Asia and Europe to gain thoroughly by its economic aims. Economic growth is important provided it is equitable. Vietnam must keep this moral dictate in mind and relentlessly work in order to make its economic growth equitable. The election had been conducted without any viable opposition party, although independent candidates were given a free charge to run and win elections and be part of the National Assembly.
After being victorious, a political party must work in order to uplift its nation out of poverty and other national challenges. Vietnam must learn to work with other nations and use its competitive edge to gain economically. The gainsaying of politics should be avoided and citizens should be given more economic opportunities. Vietnam was made to suffer during the Cold War. Its condition was derivatively termed as collateral. Vietnam must forgive the hurtful past with the United States, and leverage its economy in the twenty-first century. The United States and its attack on a peace-loving people as Vietnam was an error that it had committed. Although history cannot be rectified, Vietnam must be given more reverential advantage than other nations. History cannot be side-stepped on, and the case is the same with Vietnam. The history and experiences of Viet Cong are laden with patriotism and how a minor nation stood up to the political hate of a mighty one. The communist fights during the Cold War were an abhorrable experience of the twentieth century which cannot be easily forgotten. The life as one understands it and lives it, does not have any place of violence. Vietnam had suffered in history, and was made to pay a price for misconduct that it didn’t commit in the first place. The life in Vietnam must become better, and Communist Party of Vietnam must work to improve the social and economic conditions of the masses.
