For All Practical Purposes
Iran might go to war again. There are sure pointers in the wrong direction of war. The Trump administration in the United States wants the war to end, but unfortunately Iran seems to be in no mood to halt the waltz of war. The US President Donald Trump must intervene personally to halt the war lest Iran begins to attack Gulf States again. The Middle-East has been on the boil for the last few months and the latest skirmishes between Kuwait and Iran might bear witness to the escalation of a ghastly conflict. The Trump administration has made its intent clear that it’s on the side of peace, but Iran has become a wavering entity that cannot abide by its words. Iran must be asked to be restraint in the conflict, and not destroy public property and harm the interests of innocent citizens. Peace would have been better for Iran rather than war. But for some unknown reason it has opted again for war. The seemingly tiring war should be ended by the Trump administration, and Israel must be asked to exercise restraint in the region.
For all practical purposes it seems like a war between Shias and Sunnis, with United States of America thrown in. The United States must not embroil itself needlessly, and should peruse the situation closer than it has done in the past. The Shias and Sunnis among the Muslims have had grave differences with regards to their religion and the doctrinal sanctions that they uphold. The ongoing conflict and its escalation seem to be a justifiable war in the region wherein historical roots play a much larger role than contemporaneous politics. Peace should have been a better way to live with each other rather than take the side of a tragic war. The Iranian leadership must be circumspect enough and not go for war. It must give up on its nuclear weapons program and allow IAEA to submit its timely reports on its disbandment. Iran should live in peace with its neighbours, and not allow the insanity of war to take the place of bonhomie. The recent outbreak of conflict between Iran and Kuwait highlights the tragic element that the region might have to come to terms with. The Muslims should not fight each other; they must resolve their differences in Arab League or an international body as the United Nations. Going for war when commerce should be on their minds is not the right course of action.
