The Challenges to Peace Deal

The imminent signing of the peace deal between Iran and the United States has been called off. The decision has been taken based on the problematic that Hezbollah poses to the peace. Hezbollah and Israel have been at loggerheads and Lebanon is a paying a high price for it. Hezbollah must be told to quieten off its demands and allow peace to prevail in the region. The puzzle of war must be resolved by the disputed parties, and peace and security must be restored in Israel’s neighbourhood. Peace is an essential element on which the deal would last, although occasional skirmishes should be avoided and not be made a litmust test for the concerned parties. The United States must go forward with the peace deal; they should not have cancelled the formalities which were stated for Friday. The US must understand that restoration of peace is the first step towards normalcy and all problems would not be resolved by it. It would take one effort after another to resolve the disputes that have hampered economic development in the region and has kept peace at bay.

The United States must sign the deal at the earliest possible convenience and assure the international community to make Iran a nuclear weapons free state. That Iran cannot have nuclear weapons in the twenty-first century must be made substantially clear. The nations which are at peace do more for their populace than the ones that foment wars and violence. The US must sign the peace deal and then manage the problems that have been incessantly troubling Israel with regards to Lebanon and Hezbollah. The peace deal between the United States and Iran should not be made into an intransigent factor. Peace must be made a foundation of their future relationship and services of International Atomic Energy Agency must be utilized to cull out the nuclear weapons program, and dismantle it subsequently. Peace cannot be made avoidable but Lebanon and Israel’s relations can. The leadership in Israel does not trust Lebanon as it supports Hezbollah. It gives them a sanctuary to play havoc in the region. Israel’s problems can only be mitigated if the peace deal is signed forthrightly. The unknown nature of future is the cause behind the delay. The US must also tone down its rhetoric and allow peace to prevail in the Middle-East, a region that has been disturbed for quite long. Coupling Israel’s problems with the peace deal is erroneous to say the least. Peace deal must be signed with immediate effect and any further delay might cause trouble in the region.
