A Possible Outcome

The United Kingdom will have a new prime minister. Andy Burnham, a former mayor and newly elected MP might get his opportunity to govern the nation. The United Kingdom’s Labour Party has opted for change and has declined services that former Prime Minister Keir Starmer had to offer. The new prime minister might be sworn in as early as mid-July. The new prime minister will have his hands full and will be expected to manage the economy well. Burnham has been pro-economy in the past, and gives respect to all the sectors of the economy. It’s a welcome change in the Labour Party, although change at times, is full of political risks. He might keep a few cabinet ministers who have served under former Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The former prime minister’s policies were not made likable by the Downing Street. Best politicians are those that work hard for their nation with uprightness and honesty. The newly elected MP Andy Burnham would be expected to do the same. The rationale for change in the Labour Party has not been made clear. Minor policy-mistakes are being held responsible for change in the Labour leadership. The Labour Party must stem the tide of far-right in the United Kingdom, and make Britain a technology hub.

The United Kingdom is highly advanced when it comes to technology and its diverse applications for economic gains. The new prime minister would be expected to work wisely for the economy through better technologies, and support green growth in the United Kingdom. The relationship with the European Union must also improve, and the overall governance that Labour is renowned for must match the standards that earlier Labour leaders have set. Politics must work for the nation and for the world. The former prime minister didn’t support the US President Donald Trump in the war, Labour’s new leader Andy Burnham might to the same. It’s an American mess in the making which Britain might not want to be party to. The success of the new prime minister would rest on the economic decisions that he would take, and how he would manage the problems of unemployment and underemployment in Britain. The pro-economy stance is a welcome move, and should be supported by the Labour Party. The Labour must see to it that Burnham does not become another leader elected for a year or two. The labour politicians should be given the full mandate in governing their nation for five-year terms. Changing prime ministers is not the best possible outcome in politics. It brings new hopes but seldom are those hopes achieved. The Labour Party must opt for stability now onwards rather that giving in to untimely changes in prime ministers. The future is waiting for the new leader of Britain.
