A Last Consolation

The summit between the two global powers, the United States and China, is in conclusion. However differences remain on Iran and Taiwan. For consolation both have agreed that Iran should not have nuclear weapons. The United States, which is the dominant power of our times, has gotten an upper hand. It has forewarned China on Taiwan, and has made China agree to concessions on Iran. Iran as an Islamic Republic should have no access to nuclear weapons which might be used against US allies in the region. Weapons are strictly for responsible nations and should have nothing to do with an irresponsible state as Iran. Iran has not been made answerable to the international community for the killings of five-thousand innocent Iranian citizens. Its nuclear weapons program must come under scrutiny from International Atomic Energy Agency. IAEA must be used in order to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions lest it becomes irresponsible again. The United States has its hands-full and must do more diplomatically to isolate Iran and make it nuclear weapons free. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapons program as it might become a threatening entity in the region Peace must be emphasized in the region and security must become a dominant paradigm for nations to live with each other.

Peace and security can bring peace to the Middle-East. Coming to the summit, China has not made clear its efficacious stance on human rights, and might continue to meddle in affairs of Taiwan. China has not been very responsible lately and has used its military to browbeat Taiwan and intimidate it at its own volition and military will. Peace and commerce should be made clear to China. In the twenty-first century, nations must move towards peace and give commerce an opportunity to flourish. China should be wise enough to think about peace and encourage smaller nations to adopt it as their governing plea. Excessive militarism does not help any nation, as it threatens the overall security in the region and the wider world. Militarism must be made a non-compliance of international laws and norms. All disputes must be resolved through international platforms as the United Nations. The United States has had differences on China with Taiwan and has rightly warned China of an imminent conflict if it tries to disturb a highly productive and peaceful society as that of Taiwan. With regards to Iran, politics is still not fully clear and coming weeks ought to be considered more salient regarding the direction Iran would take.
